What your day to day will look like?
You are responsible to provide technical support to the supply chain by performing the following:
- Design modifications that will resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
- Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
- Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.
- Initiate design modifications for cost reductions.
The tools you need to be successful
- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
- Member of PEO is recommended.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design.
- General knowledge of engineering disciplines (aerodynamics, heat transfer, structures, dynamics).
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and CATIA V5 is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
