Job Description

Position: Part-Time / Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to children and families? Pediatrics of Southwest Houston is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team. What You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients
  • Prescribe medications and treatments tailored to each patient’s needs
  • Conduct thorough and compassionate physical exams
  • Develop and implement patient care plans and management protocols
  • Coordinate referrals with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and specialists to optimize patient outcomes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in nursing or related medical fields, ideally in pediatrics
  • Strong ability to build genuine rapport with children and families
  • Thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting with excellent multitasking skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to take initiative

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a pediatric clinical setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of pediatric care concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in advanced nursing skills and capable of assuming charge responsibilities
  • EMR (Electronic Medical Records) proficiency is required
  • Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred to better serve our diverse community
