What You Will Do:

  • Create and implement strategies to exceed profit plan goals related to cost savings, trade working capital, quality, supplier rationalization, supply continuity, risk management, and other agreed objectives.

  • Collaborate with branch locations to identify and introduce innovative products and services to expand field offerings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business unit leaders in Fire, Security, HVAC, and other field teams to understand their procurement needs and priorities.

  • Support pre-sales activities by partnering with sales and proposal teams, providing supplier engagement, pricing scenarios, and negotiating terms to increase our competitiveness in bids and proposals.

  • Develop and execute category strategies by analyzing sourcing options, supplier landscape, and spend data to drive value for the organization.

  • Serve as the focal point connecting Category Managers across business units, sharing best practices, leveraging existing agreements, and coordinating joint negotiation opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal procurement and business operating procedures.

  • Monitor market and supplier trends to proactively identify new sourcing opportunities.

  • Implement best practices and cost-saving initiatives in procurement processes.

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.

  • Cultivate and promote diverse supplier relationships, working with regional teams to deliver diverse sourcing opportunities.

What We Look For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement/category management, ideally within Fire Protection, Security, HVAC, Construction, or Technical Services.

  • Proven experience supporting project negotiations.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment and effectively connect teams and categories.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and contract management abilities.

  • Capability to interface with senior leadership.

  • Self-starter with the drive to make an impact, work at pace, and make data-led decisions.

  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for process improvement and value creation.

Preferred:

  • Procurement experience with a focus on Projects

  • Experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge, as you will need to understand how Procurement contributes to the wider financial picture.
