Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20-$23 an hour depending on experience. Regular overtime is available. The company offers health, dental, and vision insurance as well as simple IRA benefits to its full time employees.

About the Employer:

Hine Environmental Service (HES) is a locally owned company that was established in 2004 to pursue the increasing environmental needs of a densely populated industrial region and has continued to grow over the years. HES began operations mainly geared towards supplying environmental products to consumers, but soon expanded to a fleet of tractor trucks/trailers and various sized roll-off boxes, as the demand for industrial waste transportation increased. Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.

• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.

• Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.

• Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.

• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.

• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.

• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Ability to drive safely.

• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.

• Ability to plan delivery routes. 

• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.

• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision. 

• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times. 

Education and Experience:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must have a current and active Class A CDL with an X endorsement

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
