We’re looking for a Digital New Media Manager to lead our Content Core team—the beating heart of FOX Weather’s weather news and storytelling. In this role, you’ll guide the editorial direction and digital content strategy that fuels our live programming, foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app, and our social platforms. You’ll combine journalistic instincts with digital innovation—turning data into strategy, breaking news into storytelling, and weather updates into must-watch moments. As the Digital New Media Manager, you’ll blend your killer news judgment, digital creativity, and data-driven insight to craft content that engages audiences, grows reach, and strengthens FOX Weather’s position as the nation’s most trusted weather news source. If you thrive at the intersection of news, technology, and audience engagement, this is your opportunity to make a national impact to serve our growing audience.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead: Manage and mentor the Content Core team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and journalistic excellence for all content from pitch to execution.
Shape Content Strategy: Oversee day-to-day content production and long-term editorial initiatives to ensure FOX Weather stays ahead of the weather news. You will lean into data to ensure our content resonates with the audience across all platforms.
Innovate: Develop new processes to surface content, chase breaking weather news, and scale compelling digital content across platforms.
Collaborate: Partner with programming, talent, external partners and product teams to amplify FOX Weather’s storytelling and extend its reach.
Analyze & Optimize: Use performance data and analytics to shape strategy, boost engagement, and grow traffic.
Ensure Editorial Excellence: Ensure every story—whether a live segment reporting on news the team confirmed, article written, video headline or social post produced—meets FOX Weather’s editorial standards and reflects our brand’s trusted authority.
Shape the Future: Contribute to FOX Weather’s evolution in the new media space to set the standard for innovation in weather journalism.
