Summary

Provide visitor services and security during art exhibitions; assist with all preparatory tasks related to the exhibitions and events.

Essential Functions

• Protect and maintain artwork and galleries.
• Greet and record visitors and answer questions about the exhibitions.
• Clean and organize galleries, work rooms and storage areas as needed.
• Transact and record sales and respond to visitor inquiries.
• Install, take-down, pack, and unpack artwork.
• Typing, filing and other office assistance.
• Prepare and serve food and clean-up for receptions and gallery events.
• Fill, sand and paint walls following exhibition closings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Customer service skills.
• Honest, reliable self-starter.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and comfortable using a tall ladder.
• Carpentry or artistic skills a plus.
