Seeking Waldorf Educators to join our third year homeschool community. We have children from Grades 1-6 with outdoor main lessons and indoor afternoon enrichment. Multiple positions (including part time) available.
We understand that our primary task with our young is to prepare them to meet the world in Freedom, and to provide the order and model the responsibility that will help them succeed. Our freedom stands on shoulders of many great individuals that shaped Western Civilization, as well as the East. We are the benefactors of this Western gift and we must pass it on to the next generation. We say the Pledge of Allegiance and use the word “God” without shame but with discernment.
Our community values the innocence of childhood and consider ourselves the guardians of that inalienable right. We practice and encourage very limited use of media, we value fresh, healthy food, clean water, non-pharmaceutical healing and health practices and respectful, loving interactions with each other. We teach our children that our world is rooted in the principles of beauty, goodness and truth. We have hope for the future and want our children to meet that future with courage and enthusiasm.
As we approach our third year, our needs are expanding and we are looking for more partners. Part-time or Full-time depending on what you can offer. We can pay competitively. Our wish list includes artistic, enthusiastic Main Lesson delivery (several grades available; 1-6). Parent Communication. Faculty Meetings. Support for Festival Life. Afternoon Skills. Showing up. Low drama. Heart of Light and Music. Surprise us with whatever gifts you have!
We meet 4 days a week (potential to expand to 5 with added forest/field trip days if more hours are desired); 6 hour school days (with 30mins before/after for drop-off/pick-up). 9-month school year (Sept-May) with options to add "camp/enrichment" experiences in the "off" months.
Our community is located on a beautiful stretch of beaches on the Gulf Coast of Florida: Pinellas County. It is a tropical paradise with an impressive community of people from all over the world, many with stories of freedom seeking. It’s an exciting place to be.
