Description
The YMCA of East Tennessee is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing initiatives. This role will be instrumental in promoting our programs, mission, and services through engaging content, effective digital strategies, accurate website management, and consistent member communication. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a good eye for design and the ability to work within brand guidelines.
Requirements
Content Creation: Design brand-compliant marketing materials including flyers, brochures, banners, and other print and digital collateral using Canva or similar graphic design tools.
Social Media Management: Develop and schedule engaging social media content across multiple platforms. Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help grow our online community.
Digital Advertising: Assist in creating and managing digital ad campaigns tailored to specific audiences and goals such as program enrollment, staff recruitment, member acquisition, and fundraising.
Website Content Management: Maintain up-to-date website content to ensure accuracy of program information, special event listings, announcements, and seasonal updates.
App Management: Ensure accurate information and engagement via YMCA360, the Y’s mobile app.
Member Communications: Assist with management of member communications including mobile app push notifications, email communications, and email campaigns to ensure timely and clear messaging to members.
Brand Compliance: Ensure all marketing materials adhere to YMCA branding guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing leadership and program staff to understand marketing needs and priorities.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient in Canva or similar design software (e.g., Adobe Spark, Adobe Creative Suite).
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with email marketing platforms, scheduling tools (like Meta Business Suite), and/or analytics tools.
Experience working with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
Passion for the YMCA mission and community impact.

$41,000-$51,875
