We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and mechanical equipment. What You'll Do:
Work involves examining machinery and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble, performing repairs, ordering parts, preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts, replacing broken or defective part with items obtained from stock, reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation. Performs assigned maintenance and repair of ESSM equipment in accordance with ESSM Operations Manual, technical manual, manufacturer specifications and other information sources. Occasionally operates vehicles to move tools, materials and equipment and may be required to qualify as a forklift, crane, small boat, skimmer and/or truck operator. Will operate diesel, hydraulic and electrical powered equipment. Responsible for safeguarding and cleaning tools, keeping assigned work areas clean and safe, and compliance with all company and government policies and procedures. Performs after hours, weekend and emergency response services as required, to include overnight travel. Will handle weights up to 100 pounds, average of 50 pounds.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of five years experience in marine operations, with emphasis on offshore experience and pollution spill response. Six years experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel driven machinery, hydraulic systems, and related marine salvage equipment and experience in maintaining equipment during marine operations.
