Title: SQL Database Administrator (Part-Time / Remote)

Location: Remote

Duration: Ongoing (Long-Term)

Hours: ~10 hours per week
Rate: $ 50-60/hr

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to provide part-time support for routine database administration and maintenance tasks. This is an ongoing, low-intensity role-ideal for someone who wants consistent, flexible work managing SQL environments without heavy project or performance tuning demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular database health checks and maintenance activities
• Monitor database performance and storage utilization
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions
• Execute and monitor database backups and restores
• Apply basic patches, updates, and security configurations
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor database issues as they arise
• Support routine database scripting and query optimization as needed
• Document database configurations, changes, and maintenance schedules

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later)
• Experience with backups, restores, user management, and performance monitoring
• Basic understanding of database security and best practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectivel
