Job Description

MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A LOADER/UNLOADER IN A WAREHOUSE SETTING 

Connect Staffing is looking to hire an experienced Loader and Unloader for a Furniture Company located in the city of Puyallup, Washington. 

1st shift: Monday - Saturday 4:30 am start time (overtime will vary) 

Requirements of the loader and unloader:

• Minimum of three years previous experience as a loader/unloader manually 
• Able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and /or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
• Ability to stand for long periods of times
• Able to occasionally lift 35-50 lbs. from floor to waist; lift 50-80 lbs. from waist to shoulders; and push / pull up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently carry in excess of 50 lbs.
• Able to rotate to other work in the zone, department or any part of Distribution as required
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Ability to speak English (required)
• Experience with Palletizing, general labor, loading, unloading, warehouse is a huge plus!

Responsibilities of the loader and unloader:

• Follows verbal or written instructions, such as bills of materials, shipping documents, or production schedules
• Safely moves and stacks materials in and about the warehouse, staging area, trailers, etc
• Manually load and unload by hand outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles
• Often works for extended periods moving/loading materials or finished goods by hand 
• May also involve use of bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices to track product
