This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of BooksTime. We are currently looking for a US Senior Accountant in the United States.

The US Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing and supervising accounting services for multiple clients while acting as a trusted advisor. This position blends leadership, strategic oversight, and client relationship management in a fully remote environment. You will oversee international bookkeeping teams, coordinate client setups, and ensure high-quality financial reporting. Accountabilities

• Oversee the bookkeeping and accounting services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
• Manage new client setups, coordinating teams of bookkeepers and understanding client needs to provide high-level accounting guidance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, managing communications, expectations, and relationships.
• Supervise ongoing services, providing support and guidance to bookkeeping teams as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and implement creative solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Potentially take on specialized roles, such as client onboarding, industry-specific accounting, controller/CFO services, or management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience handling accounting for multiple companies, either in-house or in a firm environment. Relevant titles may include Controller, Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, VP of Finance, CFO, or Full Charge Bookkeeper.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop; Excel expertise is preferred. Experience with other accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and coordinate diverse teams efficiently.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
• Tech-savvy, adaptable, and capable of quickly learning new systems and tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; CPA or ProAdvisor certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and to take initiative in problem-solving.
