Job Summary

The Yard Hand supports field operations by repairing tools and equipment, including cords, hoses, and hand tools. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and staging materials, as well as preparing and processing tool orders. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work area. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are key to success in this position.

Job Description

• Process and repair broken and/or damaged tools such as electrical cords, welding leads, air hoses, hammers, ladders, and other small hand tools
• Utilize a forklift to stage materials and tools for future use
• Utilize a forklift to load and unload trucks with tools and materials
• Operate shop tools, including but not limited to a cable winder
• Maintain proper documentation and record keeping as it pertains to incoming tools/materials and tools/materials that are ready to be used by the field
• Pull orders created by the field and prepare the orders for shipping

Skills Required

• At least two (2) years of experience in construction, tool repair, or a general labor environment
• Proven ability to operate a forklift
• Proven knowledge of tools and equipment used in a construction and/or manufacturing environment
• Must use forklift and various hand and power tools
• May be required to operate a company vehicle

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per company policy
• Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Work is mainly done outdoors without climate control
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs repetitively throughout 8-10-hour days
  • Most of the workday will be spent standing and or walking.

• Shift Hours: Mon to Fri, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Pay Rate/Salary

• $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
